When I first started Modelli Fabrics back in 2008 my objective was very straightforward - to supply fine quality upholstery fabrics at very affordable prices.
At this time I had already worked in the fabric sector as a textile agent for over 20 years and had acquired a great deal of knowledge not just about what makes fabrics ‘tick’ but I had also built up a significant number of contacts across Europe who could supply exactly the fabrics I was looking for.
To begin with we offered around 400 individual fabrics. This has grown significantly over the years to the point where we now offer over 3000 fabrics and in the process have become one of the UK’s leading online fabric suppliers.
The bulk of our fabrics are still upholstery grade but in the last couple of years we have added in a sizable range of curtain/decoration lines.
Offering our superb fabrics on upholstered furniture seems to me to be an entirely logical next step.

We have partnered with a truly excellent UK producer of fine quality upholstery who make all our furniture to the highest standards using time-honoured traditional upholstery methods and only the best ‘ingredients’. I have personally known them for nearly 30 years and have two of their sofas here at home as I can genuinely vouch for the quality they produce.
Frames are made from sustainably sourced FSC approved hard wood, glued, screwed and dowelled and are guaranteed for 15 years.
Most of our pieces have removable arms as standard meaning they can fit into even the tightest of spaces.
Our sofa beds mechanisms are supplied by Sedac of Belgium - established for over 50 years and internationally renowned as being the best in the business.
